Elect Dick Dickerson to Redding City Council

When deciding which Candidate to vote for in any election, I believe that two major questions play an important role:

What has the candidate done in the past?   What will the candidate do in the future?

During my first term on the City Council:

Accomplishments

• Revitalized the Public Library System
• Opened two new Fire Stations
• Increased Police and Fire Personnel
• Opened the Soccer Park
• The Cypress Ave. Bridge project in progress
• Widening of South Bonneyview
• Widening of Churn Creek Road
• Removed the roof from Downtown Mall
• Began Phase One work on the Stillwater Business Park

In The Future:

Challenges-Opportunities

• Continue improving the Downtown area, work to attract a first run movie theatre.
  Encourage outside dining and open green spaces to encourage pedestrians.
• Fiscal Responsibility
  I will work to maintain the 10 year Budget Plan, assure a minimum 5% reserve. I will not commit to one-time money, to on-going costs.
• Avoid Sprawl
  Encourage in-fill development
• Growth
  Growth should pay for its self and traffic circulation.
